Do you provide a complete hiring solution, including registration, as at other agencies in Hong Kong?

Yes, we do. From the first time you ask our team about finding your family a new helper through her registration, organisation of her contract and beyond - we will stay in touch with you throughout her first, 2-year contract.

How long might it take to find a suitable helper?

Our record is less than one day. Some people take longer. Our model means that with each passing week, placing a helper with references becomes a little easier.

How can you possibly charge so little?

We keep costs down by managing information and communications using software. This website is only a tiny part of the overall HelperFirst picture! We are determined to offer better value than the rest of the market. If you can find an equivalent service for a lower fee, we will refund the difference.

Why don't you offer monthly subscriptions?

We think these are a honey-trap for repeat payments and that the section of the industry offering these is not acting in the customer's interests - either the helper or her new employer.

Do I have to pay up-front?

No. When we begin sharing IP like phone numbers or organising interviews, you become our customer - that's 'the point of no return' (you can't give a phone number back!).

Do you charge Helpers anything?

Never. We help them find you for free.

Can you find helpers from overseas?

Yes. Get in touch by speaking to the team.

We are online now. Can you check out the work histories and references of helpers we meet online.

We check everyone's references and work histories. We only send candidates who completed our pre-interview process satisfactorily. We always tell you if a helper you want to speak to has fully documented her application or not.

Can you provide drivers, nannies, nurses, gardeners, part-timers, and live out helpers?

We provide contact with all of the above and advise you on how not to fall foul of the law in HK.

Can you organise quarantine, Covid tests, health checks, helper medical insurance and so forth?

Yes, we can. Just ask the team.

Before we got mad at the helper hiring industry in Hong Kong and decided to turn it upside down, we had >60 million customers in the games industry. That's where we learned how to do all this clever stuff.

Helperfirst is not a website.

Our team is multilingual and international and we all own part of the project HelperFirst - both figuratively and literally as the company is operator-owned and part worker-owned. We work hard but we make it fun by employing a dynamic modern methodology that changes by the day and uses a whole suite of powerful software tools as well as a go-ahead games industry ethos emphasising sharp customer service and solid ethics.

We are serious about what we do, great communicators and we are efficient.

First up - we are friendly and interested, not just ๐Ÿค– drones following a script. 

We love ๐Ÿค– - they are helpful - but people are more exciting and always more important.


Next up - we are a family business. ๐Ÿธ LB is SBs, daughter (and business partner). She's foregone University to work in HelperFirst instead and has been a critical element of designing many of its systems. 


Thirdly we are International. JM is in ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ and runs HR as well as coordinating the team each day. That's๐Ÿ‘–in WhatsApp. Message now and speak to her.  


Fourthly we are Ninjas, ๐Ÿฏ sometimes SS๐Ÿฆ‹ is our chief Ninja and organises all Ninja activities. We don't quite assassinate people, but we may be found intelligence gathering and so forth. All good clean fun for a zany dark ops butterfly Ninja from ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ


Fifthly we are royal. We have a real Princess on the team, and oh boy, can she take care of business. Our Princess is a little ๐Ÿš€ powered but likes to have her PG ๐Ÿฐ (and eat it.)


Often, the teacher knows best, and #6 DW ๐ŸŒธ is as pretty as a ๐Ÿ’, as wholesome as an ๐Ÿ and thorough as a ๐Ÿ•ต๐Ÿป‍โ™€๏ธ - she doesn't miss a trick and speaks several languages.


MP ๐ŸŒ‰ is #7, and our American Correspondent speaks ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ and is an ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ‍๐ŸŽจ and blogger. ๐ŸŒ‰ Writes and draws content for social media and proofreads blogs. MP has worked with SB for ten years and uses the ๐ŸŒ‰ emoticon to index essential people and events.


Si๐Ÿฆ‰is our artist. He is #8 - he has drawn the team as werewolves, Beatles, cupids, courtiers, deities, gondoliers, sportspersons, lion-tamers and owls and astronauts. He's just brilliant.


SB ๐Ÿ”ฅis in ninth place, as any gentleman should be. He's as ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง as rainy weather and bad jokes but has an ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ on the bigger picture and likes to make โณto โ–ถ๏ธ.


#10 is The new Employer, and #10 is The new Helper - and of course, they belong together—United in number.
